Nola- Day One :0)

I haven't had much time to post lately so you'll be seeing a bunch of images all at once! I hope you enjoy them!!

Working for The Windsor Court was awesome! Tara came up with this incredible itinerary that I never would have been able to put together (believe me- I tried!) Day one was jam packed with things to do- wait all the days were packed!!

Off to Cafe du Monde for a beignet and coffee... (OJ for me thanks!)

Walking around and trying to get used to the humidity was crazy, but it worked out great. Bruce and I would see things inside stores that grabbed our attention and went in like insane camera toting tourists! :0P

These alligators were EVERYWHERE!!! (kinda freaky if you ask me) so of course I had to buy my son one!!! ...He's seven and likes freaky haha

Some of my favorite things to do in New Orleans was to watch the craftsmanship going on! Painters, people making masks and there was a cool cigar shop where they made them right in the store- very fun to see :0)

I can't even tell you how many recommendations I got to go to Pat O'Briens!

Hurricane anyone?

And what a perfect way to end the evening of course- listening to a little jazz!

Aaaackkk!!

I've been soooo busy! Just got back from the best assignment ever in New Orleans and had a wedding to shoot the day after I got in on Saturday (which was also awesome!) I can't wait to share the images from that one!
And now I'm traveling to Northern Arizona to shoot with Kadie Pangburn! Honestly, I'm a bit crazed but I love it when I'm this busy!

So I'll leave you with a favorite image of mine from the Nola trip and I'll make sure to take you on a day by day account of the fun times! :0)

this is just so 'Nawlins' to me!! :0)

kelly!

I had so much fun on Friday! Kelly was so awesome to work with and adorable too!

She just got signed on by a record company and called me up to do a shoot for her new album cover. :0)

We went to The Teeter House for an antique kind of setting. It's a cool tea room that has live Jazz on Saturday nights- very fun. But there was not too much space to work with inside so we decided to walk around and got loads of fun shots outside too!

Now, don't kill me Kelly, but I just had to link this! hehe

Kelly's cousin posted a video of her singing to her grandmother and I think her voice is simply awesome! You've got to check it out! HERE!!!

I think this is my favorite shot of the day!

If you want to hear more of Kelly, here's the 'official' site. Thanks Kelly!!! :0)

My first...

i pod! I know, I know- half of you will laugh because...

"you really don't have an i pod yet?"

and the other half (hi mom!) :0P

"now, what exactly is an i pod?"

It's so silly but I'm excited! I bought one with an LCD so I can play slide shows or movies too. Now I just have to wait for it to get to me!!!

The Birthday Girls!

Yep, it's that time again! My birthday is today (yes, really- tax day!) and my daughters is a mere 4 days later! I've been running around getting crafts for the other birthday girls party- she is so excited!

I snapped this just as we were running out the door this morning :0)

Andy asked what I wanted to do today and I said- go to yoga! I think he wasn't so sure if I was telling the truth or not... (is this one of those super sneaky girl intricacies that I will be mad at him for later?) Nope, I promised him- I really could use a little down time after taxes and life in general catch up with me so frequently :0)

Thursday... karaoke!!!

Rick and Mary

When Rick first called me all I could think of was- what a clever place to get married! On Dolly Steamboat at Canyon Lake. The ride down was beautiful, winding around the Superstition Mountains. The wildflowers were simply gorgeous!

The guys hung out in the bar while they waited for the girls to arrive. It was overlooking the lake, but they were watching the game and talking about The Simpson's! :0)

Mary was getting ready and Rick was averting his eyes

and they meet...

Mary's brother- just before the ceremony begins

It got dark quickly but it was wonderful outside! How romantic to have your ceremony overlooking the water and your first dance by the glow of the lights.

And I had to save this for last- what a fun cake topper!!! hehe

So congrats Rick & Mary!!!

Marissa and Nick are Awesome!

Marissa and Nick sittin' in a tree... k-i-s-s-i-n-g! hehe- I couldn't help myself!

Marissa and Nick are just so cute and nice and I just love them! You hear that?!!! You guys ROCK!

I had so much fun last night! The wedding was spectacular and all the family and friends were heartwarming and funny. Marissa has had some of the best and most unique ideas and the reception was simply awesome! So without further ado let me show you what you came here to see! :0)

The girls got ready at the coolest house in Cave Creek. It had the most incredible light- check out the gorgeous dress!

The hair and makeup was seriously the best I've ever seen so I have to make sure and get a few cards and start referring those chickas!

...stunning!
and of course you guys fully understand my obsession with getting the shoe shot! :0P

I had Marissa perched on top of this bathtub and we were all scared she would slip in those shoes but she actually survived- and look how incredible it was!

Marissa and Nick decided to meet each other beforehand. I love it!

later...

even later...

and much later :0) Marissa and Nick are the best dancers!

Nick's mom made the cupcake cake and it was gorgeous! I've never seen one so colorful- each cupcake had a different kind of flower on it and the detail must have taken her so much time but it was worth it!

Nick was so funny taking off the garter!

The girls!

I'm so blessed to have met you guys! And thank you for letting me capture your love story! :0)

Super Bowl Sunday?

What did we do on Super Bowl Sunday you might ask? Well, many of you guys who already know me might guess it wasn't watching the Super Bowl!!!

Instead I decided to put my daughter in jail!

But she was too cute so I let her out to ride her bike :0)

We had a blast at the Railroad Park! Here's an image of my son while we were riding the train

It's been harder to get a good picture of him lately... as soon as I turn the camera on him he pretends to have so much fun! :0P

So we had a great time on Sunday! I hope you guys did too. And I have to throw in a pic of our kitties- they're growing so big!

awwww...

gotta get some pictures up of the new pup... whew our family is getting huge!
