And how perfect that I'm posting about my friend Patrick today! I'm actually off to a green themed party myself so I've got to get going, but I wanted to post a few of my faves!!
We had a great shoot on Thursday- this boy is too cute! I only wish I had his eyelashes! (and on that subject, what is it with little boys, they always have gorgeous lashes!! Not fair!) :0)
We went to the Desert Botanical Gardens and first visited the butterfly exhibit. It was such a great setting to take the photos! Connor really liked the butterflies and flowers too.

And this! This is the ONE! I've been wanting to try this technique for a while and I knew while I was shooting these I'd be trying this tutorial by Neil Cowley. His wife Liesl is a member at a wedding photography forum I am active on and posted it a while back.
I really wish blogger would let us post larger images, but if you click on the image you can see it a little bigger! Essentially, I've pasted a few layers of leaves I copied on the right side to varying opacities. It really creates a mystical feeling. You have to choose the right images to do this with and the backlit situation worked out awesome!!

Great, great stuff. We may need to do this more often. I like your style. Also love the music on the slideshow. The mom's (er... Grandmoms) really loved it too. They have their print requests waiting as we speak.
